Hillcrest Ranch Community Association

Approved Exterior Color Schemes

To ensure a consistent and uniform appearance in our community, the Board, on October 24, 2022, approved a list of exterior colors and combinations that must be used.

If one of the twelve approved color schemes is utilized, the Owner does not need prior approval from the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) before painting. Please be advised that the garage door(s) must match either the base color or the trim/popout color.  If there is ANY deviation from the approved color schemes, the Owner must first submit to and receive a variance from the ARC prior to painting. ARC Review Request Forms submitted without color samples will be returned.

Pursuant to the Hillcrest Ranch Community Association Violation Fine Policy, April 26, 2010, “Any Architectural change that commences prior to written approval by the Architectural Committee will generate a penalty of up to $500.00. This fee may be owed regardless of approval or disapproval after the fact by the Architectural Committee. Submissions that are denied would require such changes to be removed and returned back to the original state of the home. Should the HOA incur any cost or legal expenses related to enforcement of this guideline such cost shall be the direct responsibility of the homeowner in a non-compliance status.”

You can further research the approved color schemes for our community via links to either Dunn-Edwards or Sherwin Williams. Sherwin Williams and Dunn Edwards are household names, and their reputation precedes them. William Shakespeare said “What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet.” The names of the two companies’ paints are different, but they “match.”
